Breathedge 2 Repair Train: Kettle, Water & Cabin Supplies
Updated · Breathedge 2 Wiki
Repair Kettle Bobby with 3 Aluminum, 2 Wires, 2 Electronics and 1 Plastic. Its machine budget gives 20 base water per Ice and spends 22 per bottle. The separate Bottle of water crafting recipe uses 2 Ice per bottle; drinking one restores 25 thirst.
Train repairs and water supply: Steam Build 25584330, updated October 5, 2026. Machine budgets use base values before difficulty and installed-part effects. Follow the active journal objective for repair progress.

Identify which part of the train needs attention
| Objective | Preparation |
|---|---|
| Patch the window | Find the leaking window and follow its repair interaction |
| Replace the lamp | Prepare the lamp replacement materials |
| Assemble the kettle | Prepare the four kettle materials below |
| Repair Nutri-Pack-O-Mat | Prepare its separate four-material repair |
| Craft water | Set aside Ice for the Bottle of water recipe |
| Craft food | Use the active objective and prepare an appropriate food recipe |
The window objective describes both oxygen escaping and refrigerant entering the cabin. A cold or leaking cabin is a reason to inspect the window even if your food supplies are already sorted.
Completing a machine repair and completing a later craft objective are different actions. Read the new journal prompt after an interaction advances.
Keep lamp, kettle and food-machine materials separate
| Job | Materials |
|---|---|
| Replace the lamp | 1 Plastic, 2 Metal, 2 Glass |
| Assemble the kettle | 3 Aluminum, 2 Wires, 2 Electronics, 1 Plastic |
| Repair Nutri-Pack-O-Mat | 3 Aluminum, 2 Wires, 3 Electronics, 1 Plastic |
The kettle and food machine share Aluminum, Wires and Plastic costs, but the food machine needs one more Electronics. A bag packed for the kettle alone will not cover both jobs.
Use an individual plan if a job is already complete. You do not need to gather materials again for repairs your save has finished.
Pack once when all three jobs remain
| Material | Total |
|---|---|
| Plastic | 3 |
| Metal | 2 |
| Glass | 2 |
| Aluminum | 6 |
| Wires | 4 |
| Electronics | 5 |
This combined checklist adds only the lamp, kettle and food-machine jobs. It does not include the window interaction, food ingredients or Ice for your drinking water.
Add each remaining repair goal once in the material planner, then enter what you already own. The planner can expand missing crafted materials, while the table here keeps the finished repair supplies easy to recognize.
Turn Ice into drinking supplies
| Bottles wanted | Ice for the kettle at base values | Water left | Ice for the 2-Ice recipe |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 2 | 18 | 2 |
| 3 | 4 | 14 | 6 |
| 6 | 7 | 8 | 12 |
| 10 | 11 | 0 | 20 |
The kettle converts each Ice into 20 base water and spends 22 water to produce a Bottle of water. Start with an empty tank: one Ice alone is short of the base bottle cost; two Ice supply 40 water, allowing one bottle with 18 water left.
Additional batches can use the remaining water. This makes the machine budget different from repeatedly crafting the separate 2-Ice bottle recipe. The table assumes you retain the full base water contribution, with enough tank space across successive loads.
The finished Bottle of water restores 25 thirst. That recovery amount is separate from the water units stored in the machine. Eating raw Ice has different effects from drinking a prepared bottle.
Match the kettle’s container and protective parts
Kettle Bobby has separate container and protective slots. The blue Backpack, Leather bag, Plastic barrel and Rusty bucket are container choices; Cardboard, Foam and Knitted teddy bear are protective choices. Use the replacement comparison on the kettle to see the effect of the part in that machine.
Storage, processing and part condition can affect a production session. The base water budget does not estimate tank size or processing time. Monitor the current tank level and make bottles between loads when space is limited.
Stock the cabin for the next excursion
A repaired cabin is a useful base for short gathering loops. Restocking a little at a time is easier than carrying every future repair material through the next quest.
- Finish the active repair and confirm that the journal moves to the next objective.
- Set aside drinking water, a usable food supply and emergency oxygen before spending the rest of your materials.
- Use the food machine’s unlocked Nutrient pack button or the recipe available to you; other machine buttons require their own Token unlocks.
- Repair and maintain your gathering tools before heading back out for another load.
- Leave spare resources in storage when they would push you into overload.
