Breathedge 2 Food & Drink Effects: Satiety, Stamina & Side Effects

Updated · Breathedge 2 Wiki

QUICK ANSWER

Oxyworm kebab restores 60 satiety, a Nutrient pack restores 25, and a Bottle of water restores 25 thirst. An Energy drink restores 10 thirst and 30 stamina, with a temporary Stimulant effect. Raw ice and spoiled food can apply Poisoning; Alcohol costs 5 satiety and 10 stamina despite its warming effect.

Base consumable values and individual status effects for Steam Build 25584330, updated October 4, 2026. Restoration amounts are points per item, not percentages. Your current meter, difficulty and other active effects can change the benefit you actually receive.

In this guide

Which food restores the most satiety?

Direct satiety restoration · Build 25584330
FoodSatiety restored
Oxyworm kebab+60
Nutrient pack+25
Potato+7
Apple+6
Pickle+6
Bitten apple+5
Apple core+5
Lemon+5
Half lemon+3

Among the foods compared here, Oxyworm kebab gives the largest direct satiety refill at 60 points. A Nutrient pack gives 25; loose fruit and vegetables give smaller top-ups. Use a smaller snack when you only need a little food.

Check your current satiety before eating a large meal. Overeating slows movement, so repeatedly eating after the meter is already high can make the next trip harder.

Spoiled food restores satiety but adds Poisoning

Food with a Poisoning side effect
FoodImmediate satietySide effect
Spoiled nutrient pack+20Poisoning
Rotten potato+5Poisoning
Half-rotten apple+4Poisoning
Rotten apple+4Poisoning
Chicken feed+4Poisoning
Rotten lemon+3Poisoning

A positive food value does not make a spoiled item a good meal. These six foods also apply Poisoning. Compare the condition cost with the small refill before eating them.

Poisoning accelerates hunger drain. Severe poisoning also damages health. The immediate satiety gain below is not a promise that you will finish the condition with more food or health than you started with.

Water, ice, Energy drink or Alcohol?

Immediate drink effects and the main tradeoff
ItemImmediate changesOther effect
Bottle of water+25 thirstUseful for a straightforward thirst refill
Energy drink+10 thirst; +30 staminaStimulant
Alcohol+5 thirst; −5 satiety; −10 staminaWarming effect; Intoxication
Ice+5 thirstPoisoning

Carry bottled water for a thirst refill. An Energy drink gives a smaller thirst refill plus stamina, while Alcohol trades away satiety and stamina. Raw ice gives only 5 thirst and applies Poisoning.

The Bottle of water recipe uses 2 Ice. Keep ice for making water when you can reach the required crafting facilities, instead of treating raw ice as an equivalent drink.

Energy drink and Adrenaline help with different problems

Each temporary status considered on its own
StatusDurationBenefits
Stimulant5 minutes+20% movement speed; fatigue builds 70% more slowly
Adrenaline2 minutes 30 seconds+40% movement speed; −30% damage received

Energy drink supplies 30 stamina immediately and applies Stimulant. Adrenaline supplies 10 stamina and 10 thirst, then gives a shorter speed and damage-resistance bonus. The consumable descriptions use “stamina” for these immediate energy changes.

The separate Stimulant item also applies the Stimulant status. Do not assume it has the Energy drink’s 30-point refill just because both share a status name.

  • Use an Energy drink when its immediate stamina refill helps you reach a place to rest.
  • The Energy drink description warns of a crash. Plan a rest stop instead of relying on successive doses for an entire expedition.
  • Compare Adrenaline with a Medkit according to the problem: reducing damage received and restoring lost health are different benefits.
  • These are individual bonuses, not a combined speed or resistance formula. Follow the active HUD status and remaining time.

Alcohol provides warming with a real cost

Alcohol removes the cold condition and applies Intoxication. Its immediate changes are +5 thirst, −5 satiety and −10 stamina. Use the warming effect to help get out of the cold, then address the temperature and your suit protection.

Intoxication impairs accuracy. Severe intoxication also slows movement and reverses the control axes. Hangover follows when Intoxication expires and increases thirst drain, so bring water if Alcohol is part of your cold-weather supplies.

Alcohol is also an ingredient in the Medkit recipe. Keep enough for the supplies you intend to craft before spending it on warming.

Choose the right worm, oxygen supply or Medkit

Emergency consumables and direct recovery
ItemImmediate recoveryAdditional use or cost
Nutriworm+15 satiety; +10 thirstSatiety and Contamination
Oxyworm+30 oxygenContamination
Purified oxygen+120 oxygenUse for an oxygen refill
Oxygen candle+300 oxygenLarger oxygen refill
Medkit+30 healthRemoves Fracture

Nutriworm restores 15 satiety and 10 thirst, and applies Satiety and Contamination. Oxyworm restores 30 oxygen and also applies Contamination. Their similar names hide different uses; check whether you need food or oxygen before consuming one.

Contamination impairs your view. Its recovery instruction is to clean the helmet. A raw worm’s refill therefore comes with a visibility cost, which matters when navigating back to safety.

The Medkit restores 30 health and removes Fracture. For another warning, follow that condition’s recovery instruction; the Medkit’s health refill alone does not establish that it clears every condition.

Pack for the meter you expect to lose

  1. Check satiety, thirst, stamina, oxygen and health before leaving a safe area. Pick supplies for the low meters instead of filling every slot with the same food.
  2. Bring a substantial meal and bottled water for a long trip, with smaller snacks for modest satiety gaps.
  3. Reserve Energy drink or Adrenaline for the situations their temporary effects help with, and know where you can rest afterward.
  4. Prepare oxygen separately from food. Oxyworm, Purified oxygen and Oxygen candle refill oxygen; Oxyworm kebab is food.
  5. Check active conditions after consuming an emergency or spoiled item. Deal with Poisoning, Contamination or Intoxication before continuing a difficult route.
