Ordinary Plastic is a crafting material with its own gathering sources. If a repair asks for Plastic, follow that material requirement; this finished upgrade part is identified separately. Likewise, the crowbar method used to gather hardened Plastic is not the listed collection method for a loose barrel.

Connect more storage to a food plan

The barrel fits the Nutri-Pack-O-Mat Capacity slot. Storage matters when you want to process a larger biomass load, but storage alone does not unlock additional recipes or pay their nutrient cost.

Before loading the machine, choose the food you need and compare its base nutrient cost with your available biomass. Leave room in the tank, let processing finish, then dispense the food and collect it from the floor.

A Plastic barrel gives the Nutri-Pack-O-Mat 150 nutrients of storage, the largest capacity of these four containers. That is 60 more than the original 90-nutrient container and 15 more than a Leather bag.

A damaged food machine still needs its repair materials. Locked food buttons use the coin-slot progression. Set aside the barrel for the container choice, then prepare those other requirements according to the machine interaction you actually need.
