Breathedge 2 Antenna Petals Won't Open? What to Check

Updated · Breathedge 2 Wiki

QUICK ANSWER

In 0.8.11, the 10g antenna petals count toward the quest once opened to 80%. A broken petal can be intentional: the developer’s earlier explanation says to check the remaining movable petals instead of searching for a repair to the broken piece.

Check the remaining movable petals

A player who replied on September 11 confirmed that one petal had not been pulled out far enough. That report predates the 0.8.11 threshold fix, so an older guide asking for fully opened petals describes the earlier behavior.

  1. Read your active journal objective. Opening the reflector petals is separate from supplying power, repairing the module or removing ice.
  2. Revisit each remaining movable section. A petal that looks open may still need to move farther.
  3. Open the remaining movable petals to at least the 80% threshold announced for 0.8.11 and check whether the objective advances.

Match the advice to your journal

The quest database includes antenna power, module repair, petal opening and ice-removal objectives. Use the wording of the current objective instead of assuming the database order is a fixed walkthrough.

If your active step needs materials, its Plan materials button opens the recorded requirement in the material planner.

If it still does not advance

The patch specifies a percentage of opening, not an angle in degrees or a guarantee that every stalled save has the same cause.

Check your installed update and include the exact objective text and game version in an in-game bug report if the remaining petals are fully open and progress still stops.
